For the sake of transparency and consistency, the directors wish to share the following information:
Two meetings of the Board of Directors, elected at the General Meeting on 16 December 2024, took place on 18 January and 22 February 2025.
Five committees listed in alphabetical order were set up to spread out activities and be more responsive:
- Animal welfare (Mylène Couturier, Hélène Denys, Nadine Rebière),
- Communication (Gillian Le Solleu and Sylvie Nicolas)
- Events (Charline Bardou, Gillian Le Solleu, Pascal Schwederle, Sandrine Verdier, Patricia Vignolle),
- Human Resources (Hugues Meyer and Sylvie Nicolas),
- Works (Hugues Meyer and Sandrine Serre).
Calls for volunteers will be made on an ad hoc basis to participate in the work of these committees.
As of 22 February 2025, the shelter hosts:
- 64 dogs (of which 47 available for adoption, 4 reserved and 8 in Host Family)
- 36 cats (20 available for adoption, 9 reserved and 6 in Host Family).
At the beginning of this year, 80 volunteers have already joined the SPA, including 16 new ones and we hope many more. The new volunteers receive training under the aegis of Hélène Denys as coordinator "dogs" and Annick Labeur Lehmann as coordinator "cats".
A true HR policy is put in place with annual individual employee interviews, quarterly meetings initiated this Friday, February 21, daily briefings provided by Edouard Poletz, in his capacity as manager, job cards to be established, delegations to be planned and a training plan to be implemented.
A project is to be built to beautify the SPA so that everyone feels better and it is more welcoming for adopters.
Employees and volunteers, we are all united to manage the shelter in an optimal way, looking for a better life for animals and humans who are at the heart of our missions.
