A gentle friendly dog found lost near Agonac. Dino was recently adopted but returned to the refuge after 3 weeks. Here are some informations given by the adopters.

"Dino is a very quiet and calm dog when he is not exposed to a younger or smaller animal.  I have no doubt that if we did not have a 4 month old pup or if it was fully adult, Dino would have become a permanent member of our family.  He did not exhibit any aggressive tendencies to us.

During the 3 weeks, he became fully house trained and had started to learn his name   Yes, he will pull on the lead a bit but he is entirely controllable .  I would also disagree with his categorisation as a likely escapee, we had a Deer in the garden about 150m away from him, he took no notice at all. If we had been able to keep him we would have let him off the lead once he was recall trained.  Yes, he probably needs a fair bit of land to roam in if its not fully secure, but I really cannot see him making a bid for freedom if he’s happy and has become part of a family.

Our experience was that he was happy to have a bit of a play for a couple of hours in the morning  and perhaps an hour or so in the early evening, with plenty of lazy sleep for the rest of the time.  We didn’t see any separation anxiety and he was calm and quiet overnight."
